Airstroke/Actuation
Firestone Airstroke® Actuators are cylindersAirstroke actuators are used as a short stroke, high force, single acting pneumatic actuator. Its unique capabilities make it ideal for friction free, leak free, flexible force applications.

Traditionally, fluid power cylinders have the general geometric shape of the dictionary definition. In function, however, it is not necessary that an axial force or motion generator be cylindrical.

Firestone Airstroke® actuators have long been used in the industrial market as pneumatic actuators incorporated into new and innovative machinery designs as well as replacement actuators for existing applications that had previously used traditional pneumatic or hydraulic cylinders. Call today to learn about the advantages of Firestone Airstroke® actuators over traditional cylinders.

Isolation Product Descriptions
Airmount isolators
are used to support and isolate external vibrations, or support a vibrating load and prevent its energy from disturbing the surroundings.

Marsh Mellow springs

are used like the Airmount isolator as vibration isolators. However, they do not require air inflation. While not as efficient as air springs, Marsh Mellow springs are an effective passive isolator with superior characteristics to steel springs.

AirPicker/AirGripper
The end effectors offer the user a wide range of advantages over traditional pick and place work holding devices. Simply by varying the air pressure in the picker or gripper, the user can conform the end effector to the diameter that is being handled and the force being applied to the workpiece. This is especially critical in applications with sensitive, thin-walled, or fragile objects.

The object being picked up does not have to have a circular configuration. Since it has an elastomer bladder construction, it will conform to any shape.
